This Wednesday, Prime Minister Dr.Edouard
Ngirente held talks with Uk Ambassador to Rwanda Jo Lomas and head of DFID in
Rwanda Sarah Metcalf. Talks focused on the good bilateral ties the two
countries enjoy and the developmental projects in the country as explained by British
high commissioner to Rwanda Jo Lomas.
The Minister of Cabinet Affairs, in the Office of the Prime Minister, Kayisire Marie Solange says that the talks also looked into how to best achieve a knowledge-based economy.
"They discussed how to boost the knowledge-driven economy and they already have this in their programme. they have 3 programmes that support the education sector and agriculture. They also support the revenue authority technically," Kayisire said.
They also discussed about the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of State meeting (CHOGM) slated for 2020.
