President Paul Kagame appointed Dr. Vincent
Biruta and General Patrick Nyamvumba as new ministers of foreign affairs and
Internal Security, respectively in a cabinet reshuffle announced on Monday
Biruta, a long-serving cabinet member and former Senate President replaced Dr. Richard Sezibera.
Gen. Nyamvumba, who has been serving, as the
Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), will head the newly created Ministry of security.
The president also named Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju as the new ministers for Sports, Dr Jeanne D'Arc Mujawamariya, Minister for Environment, Edouard Bamporiki, State Minister for the Youth and Culture, as well as Ignatienne Nyirarukundo, State Minister for Social Affairs in the Ministry of Local Government.
