President Kagame appoints new Director of Cabinet, State Minister for Agriculture

On Monday evening, President Paul Kagame announced appointments in the ministerial position and several senior government dockets.

The appointments have seen Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze, appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources. This is a newly created cabinet position.

Urujeni Feza Bakuramutsa has been appointed the Director of Cabinet in of office of the President, replacing Ines Mpambara who was recently appointed the Minister in Charge of Cabinet Affairs.

Urujeni has been Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. 

Former Deputy Speaker of the Lower Chamber of Parliament, Abbas Mukama will now be the Deputy Ombudsman in charge of preventing and fighting corruption. Mukama replaces Clément Musangwabatware

Joyeuse Uwingeneye is the new Director General of Rwanda Public Procurement Authority (RPPA).

The head of state also appointed the following people on the Board of Directors of Rwanda Aviation Company (RAC).

3. Lt. Col. Joseph Ndayishimiye, Member

4. Ines Uwimbabazi, Member

President Kagame also renewed term of office for the selection committee of Candidates to the post of Commissioner of the National Commission for Human Rights.
