Speaker Mukabalisa receives a delegation from Liberia

This Monday, the Speaker of Rwanda chamber of deputies Right Honorable Mukabalisa Donatille received in her office the delegation of Liberia MPs led by Honorable Acarous M. Gray and shared experiences of both Parliaments.  

Speaker Mukabalisa explained to them the functioning of Rwanda parliament, and how Rwanda has overcome the dark history of the 1994 genocide against Tutsi which claimed more than 1 million people, and how it has chosen to work together for the countries development.

The head of Liberian MPs' delegation Hon. Acarous M. Gray commended Rwanda for its hospitality and says that they came to learn from the best practices of Rwanda and get ideas that will help them establish good policies in their country especially in gender empowerment.

Speaker Mukabalisa also explained how Rwanda empowered women in all sectors of life from the mindset changing to education that leads to the policy of 30% women representation in all decision making institutions. The benefit of this inclusion is tremendously visible in the country's development and achieving more goals, She said.
