Senate President, Speaker hold bilateral talks with various ACP delegations

This Wednesday, Rwanda parliament executive received various delegations on the sidelines of the ongoing 55th Session of ACP Parliamentary Assembly and the 38th Sessions of ACPEU Joint Parliamentary Assembly.  The first to pay courtesy call on the speaker of the chamber of deputies was Hon.Tagesse Chafo, Speaker of Ethiopia House of Representatives. Hon Chafo applauded the bilateral ties both countries enjoy. 

Speaker of the chamber of deputies Hon Donatille Mukabalisa also received in her office a delegation of Ugandan Parliamentarians led by Honorable Oulanyah Jacob L'Okori, the Deputy Speaker of the parliament of Uganda and first vice president of the Central African parliament Hon Mapenzi Jean Symphorien, who said that Rwanda was a good role model for most countries on the continent. 

Also on the sidelines of the ACP-EU Parliamentary Assembly sessions, a delegation of South African MPs led by Hon. Regina Mina Lesoma was received in a courtesy call by the President of Rwandan Senate, Dr Iyamuremye Augustin, in his office.

Within their exchanges, Rt. Hon. Dr Iyamuremye Augustin and Hon. Regina Mina Lesoma discussed the functioning of both Parliament and the good countries' relations and cooperation and committed to working together as countries sharing same history.

The delegations applauded Rwanda for the strides made over the years and the good leadership they enjoy under President Paul Kagame.  They say they have learned a lot that they will implement back in their respective countries.
